What we collect

We collect the email address (and optional first name) you give us when you join our newsletter, and the details you submit through our enquiry and listing request forms.

How we use it

We use your details to send you the updates you asked for and to respond to your enquiry. We never sell your information, and we don't share it with advertisers.

Unsubscribing

Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link you can use at any time. We keep a record of your request so you aren't contacted again.

Website measurement

We record anonymous usage of listings and advertising placements — such as views and clicks — to report to advertisers and improve the directory. This data is not linked to your name or email address.

To count visits and group them into sessions, we store a randomly generated, anonymous visitor and session identifier in your browser, along with the pages you view, searches you make, filters you use and actions such as tapping a phone number or website link. We also record general details like device type, browser and the website you arrived from. We do not store your name, email address, precise location or anything you type into contact forms, and we do not use this information to identify you. Clearing your browser storage removes these identifiers.

When switched on, we also use the Google Ads tag (provided by Google) on public pages to measure how visitors who arrive from our Google ads use the site. Google may set cookies and receive your page address, browser details and IP address for advertising measurement. It is not used on our admin pages. For visitors in the UK, EU/EEA or Switzerland, advertising cookies and personalisation are switched off: Google receives only limited, cookie-free signals and no ad cookies are set. You can opt out of personalised Google ads at adssettings.google.com or block cookies in your browser.
